ATTORNEY HALE ANDREW ANTICO
Hale Andrew Antico is active in the legal community. He serves or has served on the Board of Directors for two well-respected bankruptcy associations in the Los Angeles area. First, in 2023 Los Angeles bankruptcy attorney peers voted him President to serve a third term leading the CDCBAA, Los Angeles’ biggest group of bankruptcy lawyers. He previously led the group of L.A bankruptcy attorneys in 2020 and 2021. Secondly, he is a Past President of the James T King Bankruptcy Inn of Court for bankruptcy lawyers, trustees, and judges. Finally, he’s a longstanding member of NACBA, the nation’s largest group of bankruptcy attorneys.
Honors & Awards
Hale Andrew Antico is blessed to have a career with awards and honors. Mr. Antico was honored in 2017 as Best Bankruptcy Attorney by readers of the largest newspapers in Santa Clarita. This was the fourth time voters in the area have selected him for that honor. In 2018, he was a finalist as Best Lawyer by the AV Press, the largest newspaper in the Antelope Valley.
Mr. Antico is humbled to be recognized by both his bankruptcy attorney colleagues, and his clients, as a respected leader in the Los Angeles bankruptcy community.
Hale Andrew Antico started his law practice in 2003 before the bankruptcy reform, and has helped approximately 2,000 people since then receive a fresh start with Chapter 7 bankruptcy. His success rate with Chapter 13 is more than double the national average, and 20x that of the Central District of California.
He believes in honest communication in easy-to-understand terms, compassion, getting results, and setting expectations and exceeding them. He has a passion for educating the public about consumer finance and improving their financial picture. Mr Antico does this in a blog and with common-sense bankruptcy information on this website.
Leadership & Membership
Attorney Hale Antico is active in the bankruptcy community. Firstly, in late 2019 he was elected by some of the top Los Angeles bankruptcy lawyers to lead in 2020 and 2021 as President of the second largest consumer debtor bankruptcy lawyers’ association in America. He has been bestowed the rare honor of a third term, and will serve again as President in 2024.
In 2022, he was selected to chair a committee to update Bylaws. Also, he was chosen to be chair of the Chapter 13 committee. Further, in 2023, almost every month he moderates webinars for Los Angeles bankruptcy lawyers featuring bankruptcy judges and other top bankruptcy attorneys. Even after being President, Mr. Antico continues to be active in successfully contributing to his profession.
Also, Mr. Antico led as President and on the Board of Directors of the Bankruptcy Inn of Court. Here, he engages with bankruptcy judges, bankruptcy trustees, and creditor attorneys over meals to advance civility and education. He’s humbled to be trusted to serve hundreds of bankruptcy attorneys in these groups for over 10 years as a director on both boards.
Hale Andrew Antico graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law with a JD degree. Prior to that, he graduated from California State University at Northridge, with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Attorney Antico is licensed to practice law in California, and has been admitted to practice before the CA Supreme Court, and is a federal litigator in the Central District of California.
